table service
found this on my desktop. my best friend sent it to me over skype one night and said, "don't know why i have this, but you might like it":
the 'abu ghraib coffee table' by phillip toledano, a part of his america the gift shop series. lovely one-off piece made of moulded resin +plexiglass, though the plastic bag looks like it's made of leather..hope it is. did i mention an item on my bucketlist is to acquire every single garment imaginable in leather? from your basics like footwear and outer, to socks and i don't know, unitards and maybe a ballgown. no rush though, i think i'll work on sky diving and swimming alongside orcas first.

tada! in china.
oh asia i just can't quit you.
2 weeks ago i hauled my butt and 13 pair of heels and 2 books ( you can't wear virtual shoes like you can read virtual books!!) from lil ol' ottawa, canada to lovely beijing, ccccchina. you could say it was an intentional, planned out, spree of the moment thing.
i've spent the beginning ironing out vitals like phone/living/transportation but i think now i more or less have a handle on things. i learned the hard way you have to buy electricity in your apartment by refilling a swipe card much like refilling metro money. otherwise, when it runs empty you end up with a half head of wet hair and befuddled why you are suddenly plunged into absolute darkness. thank god for the flashlight app on my iphone and my chinese roommate who informed me: no, it's not because we are being evicted.
sooo in honour of my new home in the people's republic, here is a slick 3D promo vid MOMENTUM from c-town based retailers MO&CO who will be invading the NY+Paris market in 2012! wooohooo it's about time c-town DESIGNED brands infiltrate the west...though ironically the styling and inspiro is suppose to be 'parisienne chic'. also features chinese supers liu we+ shu pei, enjoy!
